This edition of the competition saw the introduction of a number of new awards at both the Regional Finals and Grand Finale.
The Signature Dishes of the competitors at the Regional Finals were judged against the three Golden Rules by the jury in order to determine the S.Pellegrino Young Chef winner of the respective Region.
In addition, regional winners for the following awards were also announced: the S.Pellegrino Award for Social Responsibility voted by Food Made Good, an internationally recognized voice on sustainability in food, and the Acqua Panna Award for Connection in Gastronomy, voted by all the mentors that accompanied the young participants during the competition. The Fine Dining Lovers Food for Thought Award was voted by the online audience of the Fine Dining Lovers magazine.
